1. Part Maintenance
- a. Enter in the new part number and hit tab, or search for it.
- b. Go to the Revisions tab.
- c. Make sure it is NOT APPROVED or unapprove it.
- d. Click on the Revision box. Make sure the cursor is flashing in the box.
- e. Click the Actions menu, Revision menu, Check Out Revision…
- f. Type in your ECO id and click OK.
- g. Click the Actions menu, Revision menu, Engineering Workbench.
2. Engineering Workbench
- a. On the tree view on the left, click the arrow for Materials.
- b. If the Materials are numbered 1-9, and then 10-2100, nothing else needs to be done. Skip to step [H]
- c. If there are only a few entries under Materials, renumber the Mtl Seq of them to be in the same order, but under (not on) 10.
- d. Once done, go to Method of Manufacturing, Materials, List.
- e. Copy all columns and rows of Excel file.
- f. Right click on the last row on the list in Epicor, and click Paste Update. Make sure that it doesn’t overwrite any of the entries already there.
- g. Wait for all of the rows to be added.
- h. When done, click the Actions menu, Revision menu, Approve and Check In (or if you have more than one and they are all finished, go to Group menu, Approve and Check In All).
- i. Type in a note if necessary and click OK on the pop up.
- j. When the WorkBench is clear, close it.
3. Part Maintenance
- a. Refresh the page.
- b. If the Configurator is shown to not be Configurable, go to Configurator Entry.
4. Configurator Entry
- a. Enter in the configurator tied to the lift you just worked on.
- b. Click the Action Menu, Configurator Rules.
5. Configurator Rules
- a. Click the Part/Rev box, search for any lift part number BESIDES the one you just added and select it.
- b. Open the tree view, then the Unrelated Material tree. If there are NOT red dots on any Mtl 10 or above, add the Method Rules.
- c. If there are red dots on this lift, click the Actions Menu, Copy Rules.
- d. In the first box, either type in the new lift part that you worked on, or search for it. Select the correct revision, then click Copy. Close the pop up window. Click Cancel on the Copy window to close it.
- e. In the Part/Rev box, type in the part you worked on. Open up the tree view and make sure all the lines at or above 10 have a red dot.
- f. If they do, close the page. If they don’t, investigate the rules of the one you copied from to see what is missing.
- g. Close the page.
6.Configurator Entry
- a. Refresh the page.
- b. Check the Approved box and type what you added on the pop up, then click OK. If you did this on the Generic configurator, this will take some time to approve (40 minutes to 1 hour).
- c. Once done, close this page.
7. Part Maintenance
- a. Refresh the page.
- b. If the Configurator is shown as Configurable, approve the Part on the the right by the yellow, Not Approved, button.
- c. DONE!
