This article will outline how to export data from a BAQ in Epicor. This can be done on a schedule, and also be written to a UNC (Network Share) location.
- Create a BAQ for the data, or use an existing BAQ. Be sure to know the exact name for the BAQ.
- Open BAQ Export Process.
- On the BAQ Export Process, either type in the name of the BAQ, or search for the right BAQ you want to export by clicking the button 'Query ID'
- Once you have the proper BAQ selected, change the Output format to CSV, which is what most people use.
- I always check the box for Output Labels, so you have a header row at the top of the columns
- For the output filename, if you leave it as it shows above, it will place the output file in your user directory on the server. If you want the output to go to a specific Network Location (Be aware, the output can NEVER go to a PC, it always has to go to either the server, or a network share location that the server has access to). Also, you can NEVER use drive letters for the network locations, as the server does not know exactly where those Drive letters point to.
- Here is an example of an item setup on a Schedule, and it is recurring, and it is going to a Network Share Location. Notice the normal backslashes for a UNC path have to be changed to forward slashes to work correctly.
