In the IDC system, when you have an invoice document open for training, you can right click the date field, and choose 'Define Date Format'

The screen that opens up has a list of the standard date formats.  For the UK, you will most likely want en_GB, for the English, United Kingdom date format.  For denmark, probably en_DK, as shown below.
